Ok, so I've just been shopping and spent £92 on cheese and meat... this had better make me thin.
Had scrambled eggs (no milk but didn't hold back on the oil) with a WHOLE PACKET - yes a whole packet (125g) of mozzarella for breakfast and didn't feel hungry til about 2pm. I also had one tomato with it, and just counted the carbs (you're allowed 20g a day and a tomato contains 2g).
I have just munched 3 ready-cooked chicken drumsticks. Not having to peel the skin off felt weird, but turns out it tastes pretty crap anyway. Also gobbled a nice wedge of brie before I realised that you are only supposed to have 180g of cheese a day and I ate 125g this morning - oops. A nice bitter green tea should cancel that out?
Tea is gonna be chicken stir-fry out of the Atkins book (basically chicken breast, a variety of oils and some green veg).
This may not be the cheapest diet out there, but so far I'm eating like a fat bastard and not missing bread at all. The only thing I'm craving is a nice cup of tea. I've bought some single and double cream for cooking (bizarre that this is allowed, but I'm looking forward to creamy scrambled eggs in the morning :-) ) ... so gonna try a bit of that in my cup of tea and see if it works.
Wish me luck
Catharine xx
