Day One Carb Free

This is really for no one else but myself... I can't think of anything more dull than reading someone else's diet diary... but I fear if I don't write this, I won't stick to this carb-free malarky for longer than an hour.

Ok, so day one on the carb free train...

I've decided to do this because I need to lose about a stone and fancy trying something a bit different. Slimmingworld / counting calories is all well and good, but the thought of no olive oil for the next month makes me wanna cry. It's 5 weeks until my best friend's wedding, and I do NOT want to be the fat friend in all the pictures. So I figured this was marginally easier than sabotaging all the girls by sneaking into their work and filling their packed lunches with chocolate and lard.

So CARB FREE. Hmmmm. I spent last night reading all the Atkins shizzle and it's gonna be hard. No fruit? No veggies apart from a little bit of greenery now and then? This flies in the face of everything I hold sacred and dear. No cake, no chocolate, no crisps... THAT I can deal with. But to suddenly have to hold a tomato as a sinful object just seems wrong... but hey ho... If it makes me thin, I'll do it.

So....

So far today I have forsaken my beautiful first-thing-in-the-morning milky cup of tea for a green tea. BITTER. That's all I have to say about that. Now, after being up for a couple of hours, the hunger wolves are gnawing and I'm wondering what the hell I can eat.
Normally, I'd go for porridge or toast, but now that is considered food from the devil himself, I'll have to rethink. Eggs are about the only thing I can think of. With lots of butter. Ok, things are looking up.

More news as it comes in.
